The Planet Trails Foundation’s objectives are to carry out, commission or support studies and to diffuse knowledge and information on the local, regional and global effects of large-scale infrastructural works, in particular roads and waterways in developing countries. The activities of the foundation will be focused more specifically on the potential impact of large-scale road projects on local and regional socio-economic development, on changes in land use and loss of biodiversity, and on the livelihood base of indigeneous peoples. |
